CECOPS: official commencement

The Community Equipment Code of Practice Scheme officially starts on 23rd November 2011. To mark this occasion there is a launch event taking place at the Kings Fund, London.

Several of the leading providers have already pre-registered with the Scheme including, for example, British Red Cross, Nottinghan Rehab Supplies (NRS) and The Pluss Organisation.

Jean Henderson, UK Director, British Red Cross says:

The Red Cross believes that the high quality provision of community equipment plays a vital role in promoting physical and mental well being and we welcome the introduction of the Community Equipment Code of Practice Scheme…the British Red Cross is delighted to be at the forefront of the implementation of the Code.

Some Approved Trainers have also registered with the Code of Practice Scheme. Ellie Burcher, an expert in the equipment field, is an Approved Trainer, and has this to say:

 I am very inspired by the Code and totally agree that it is needed across all levels of community equipment…
