The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy urge their members to adopt the Community Equipment Code of Practice
The Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) support the Community Equipment Code of Practice and urge their members to adopt it.
CSP has supported the need for Standards for community equipment for some time, and have been very involved in the work carried out by Brian Donnelly (CECOPS Director).
Leonie Dawson, CSP Professional Adviser (pictured opposite at the CECOPS launch, Kings Fund) said:
“The CSP has strongly supported the development of this code and physiotherapists involved in the provision of equipment to patients are urged to go to the website to register as users of the code.”
CECOPS welcome the backing of a professional and well respected organisation like CSP and believe this is a “big step forward for ensuring the Code is widely adopted.”
Interestingly, the Code of Practice is to be taught to all professionals involved with community equipment at various Universities across the UK from March 2012.
