The Amputee Rehabilitation Unit is an eight bed inpatient unit in the Withers building. The unit provides intensive inpatient rehabilitation for persons following amputation on a 5-day basis and also has an extensive outpatient facility in the Regional Disablement Service also on the Musgrave Park Hospital site.
There is a full complement of specialist Allied Health Professional staff, working in conjunction with the Rehabilitation Medicine consultants and speciality doctor.
The unit works on an interdisciplinary model of rehabilitation.
Outpatient clinics are held each week.
