Areas of Expertise: eHealth, Digital Health Implementation, Readiness Assessment, Large-Scale Adoption and Evaluation, Continuous Improvement.

Ruth has a strong background in health informatics, digital health and eHealth. Her doctoral work explored the factors affecting large-scale implementation of innovative eHealth interventions designed to improve health and wellbeing. In particular Ruth is interested in translational research (translating research findings into practice) and eHealth policy to foster person-centred care.

Ruth’s research has been widely recognised, having won various prestigious awards at a global level and having gained several scholarships to present her work internationally.

Ruth’s work experience is extensive across health informatics, information technology consultancy, and dynamic solution delivery and performance analysis.

Ruth has worked on both the DALLAS and Living it Up programmes. She has also worked within the National Programme for IT (NPfIT), and as part of the Business Intelligence, Performance & Information Team for many NHS organisations.

Ruth joins the Strategy and Development Unit at CECOPS at an exciting time. She is looking to lay a collaborative foundation with clients in providing expertise on planning, commissioning and providing technology enabled care services using the CECOPS framework and the iCOPS self-evaluation tool, in order to bridge the translational gap between theoretical ideas and a successfully sustained service.
